Easy To Make Dog Cookies
No dog party would be complete without the delicious addition of cookies! Make your dog party a hit with this recipe for an easy-to-make, basic dog cookie. Your pup and his pals will love them. They’ll be so popular, in fact, that you might want to make some doggie gift bags for your guests to take home!
Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup hot beef or chicken broth
- ½ Cup Margarine
- ½ Cup Powdered Milk
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Teaspoon Sugar
- 1 Egg Beaten
- 3 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
Directions:
First, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Next, in a large bowl, pour hot broth over margarine. Stir in salt, sugar, powdered milk and the egg. Add one ½ cup of wheat flour at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead dough for three to four minutes. If necessary add small amount of additional flour if dough is not stiff enough. Roll out dough on a floured surface (approximately ½ inch thickness). Using cookie cutters (I used dog and bone shapes!) Cut out cookies and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes (they should become golden brown). Allow cookies to cool completely. Store in an air-tight container for up to three days. After three days, freeze remaining treats. That’s it! Enjoy!
And that’s it! As simple as pie (maybe we’ll do a pie recipe in a future post). In the meantime, this one sure-hit recipe will make your dog party the talk (or bark) of the town.
