Dog Birthday Party Invitations
So you have decided to throw your dog a birthday party! Congratulations and may the planning begin! First and foremost, invitations! The invitations are very important, after all, they provide all of the important information that your guests need to know (what, when, why, where, etc). The first decision you must make is whether or not you are going to make your own invitations or purchase them. Believe it or not, there are many companies on the internet that sell dog party invitations. Whether or not you buy invitations depends on how creative you are (or want to be) and whether or not you have the time to make your own.
Creating home-made invitations can be time consuming and expensive or simple and fast, it all depends on the type of invitation you wish to send and the money you wish to spend. Hey, that rhymed! Anyway…if you are feeling creative, take a trip to your local craft store. You will be amazed at the beautiful paper, stickers, stamps and embellishments that are available. Some paw print paper, dog stickers and coordinating envelopes may be all you need to create the best dog party invitation ever!
Whether or not you buy invitations or create your own the information that you put on the invitation is the most important part. Be sure to include:
Your Name
Your Dog’s Name
Type of Party (reason for having it)
Date of Party
Start and End Time
Location of the Party (be sure to include directions!)
Party Rules (very important when throwing a dog party!)
Any Additional Information (for example, if you do not want gifts..say so! Suggest a small donation to a dog shelter instead!).
Email Address and or Phone Number (so that people can RSVP)
By including all of the above information on your dog party invitation you will provide everything that your guests need to know. You may or may not want to include a waiver with your invitation (to protect yourself just in case one of your doggie guests decides to bite someone) but that is up to you. I will write more about this subject, as well as, party rules, in future posts. In the meantime, get to the post office and mail those invitations! Woof!
